“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of
all who are destitute.” (Proverbs 31:8) Right now it is 7:30pm in
Ghouta, Syria and 71 civilians have already been murdered. I’m sure that
by the time I write this and it gets seen that number will have
increased as it has been doing all day. 400 people have been senselessly
slaughtered in just the past five days, but where is the outrage?
Social media is an incredibly powerful tool, and it has connected me
with Syrians living in East Ghouta and documenting the horrors taking
place. It has brought this tragedy right into my home and it is
something I cannot ignore. I have been desperately trying to share as
much as I can,
